Digital Payment System for Transparency
To ensure transparency and dignity in the distribution process, the government has introduced digital payment mechanisms. All funds will be transferred directly through bank accounts or digital wallets, eliminating middlemen and reducing the risk of corruption.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif emphasized that the new system is designed to ensure smooth execution while protecting the self-esteem of beneficiaries. He noted that last year’s Ramadan relief payments underwent a third-party audit, which found no evidence of irregularities or corruption.
Monitoring Committee Formed
To further ensure transparency and effective implementation, the Prime Minister has constituted a cabinet-level monitoring committee. The committee will oversee the execution, distribution, and accountability of the relief funds.
Government’s Commitment to Public Welfare
The announcements reflect the government’s ongoing focus on welfare initiatives and transparency. While addressing political concerns related to the PTI founding chairman’s medical treatment, the Information Minister emphasized responsible public discourse. Simultaneously, the launch of the Ramadan Relief Package 2026 underscores the government’s commitment to supporting low-income families during economically challenging times.
The combined developments highlight both administrative transparency in legal-medical matters and proactive economic relief measures aimed at public welfare across Pakistan.
